Still 20/20
I had my six-month follow-up for my PRK surgery yesterday. Everything’s fine. My vision is still 20/20, and the doc confirmed my over-the-counter +1.25 reading glasses are the correct strength for my eyes. Interestingly, she also confirmed that she can tell by my optic nerve that I was very nearsighted before the surgery (I was). The eyes are still healthy, still correctable to 20/15 (but why? I had the surgery so I wouldn’t have to wear glasses), and the eyes are healthy. I’m happy.
In her blog today, Holly talks about what you can’t see. It’s a useful thing to remember–each of us has something inside that nobody on the outside can see. I’m willing to share that my optic nerves will rat me out to anybody possessing the knowledge and the tools to look. How about you?
I actually have to think about the things I’m not willing to share. Amazingly, it’s not that obvious.
You got me thinking…
But even if I find something, then I’m not willing to share it.
Well… it’s good your eyes are recovering well. Does that mean you’re going to need glasses all the time or just for reading? Forgive my ignorance.
oh my goodness… what is that?
Are my eyes okay?
I just posted the comment and then wham, the design changed.
I like it. Much brighter and cheerfull. The banner’s pretty too.
Your eyes are fine. I was cycling through the various themes I have saved and was checking them out. Wish I knew which one you saw. π
Oh, that was supposed to be things you ARE willing to share. I’m not going to ask you to unwillingly share things.
Oh, and I only need glasses for reading. Since I had bi-focals before the surgery, and the surgery wouldn’t fix that, I’m not surprised.
I’ve been wondering how your eyes are doing. I was going to email you and ask, but here you are posting about it. I’m glad they’re still doing well. π
Glad to hear your eyes are still happy π I tried to post a comment a couple days ago on a different entry, and then my connection died, so I skipped…I hope that wasn’t a sign! Anyway, I do check in as often as I can, and it’s good to see things moving along steadily.
Sorry for misunderstanding.
The design I saw had a banner without the bears. Although, I do like the bears.
You can change the design daily and we can vote π
There’s an idea. I might do that. I know at least one of them causes problems for dial up readers.
1.25 reading glasses are not bad at all……I m already on 1.75 and heading towards bifocals…..lucky you!
