Thanks to Heather, I played with the style sheet and not only fixed (at least in some way) the header problem, but I also found a way to emphasize the slogan a bit more and insert it into the header image.

I took out the distracting top links to nowhere. I can add them in again if I ever want to. I have a few more themes to show you, but I’m going to leave this one up for one more day before pressing on.
