It’s Cheetah Time
I finished Lynn Viehl’s Way of the Cheetah last night. If you’re a writer, you can’t go wrong with the one-two punch Way of the Cheetah and Holly Lisle’s Create A Character Clinic provide.
I’m off to a slow start in 2006. I’m slow in all areas of my life save one–health. I’m achieving some moderate success in my goals for that one area of my life. And, really, if I had to fail in all areas except one at the beginning of a year, I’d want to succeed in improving my overall health. So I won’t complain…much.
I’ve returned to writing and editing marathon participation over at Forward Motion. This weekend is word count. I’m getting back into the swing of writing fresh material on Threads & Ties. I need permission to write crap to get the story onto the electrons, but I’m also striving to learn to write a better first draft. I suspect, for the moment, those two goals are incompatible.
Lynn says the key is to quit talking about it and do it. So, the answer is to just write it. It’s Cheetah Time.
