One Year on WordPress
I made the transition to WordPress one year ago yesterday. I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the blogware. According to Blog Stats on the Dashboard page, I’ve made 369 posts and have received 650 (legitimate) comments. SpamKarma2 has done a wonderful job of containing the illegitimate comments–better known as spam–since late October, 2005.
I enjoy hearing from my regular commenters as well as the few who emerge from deep space lurk and drop a note every now and then–thank you. I also enjoy checking out your sites in return. I’m pleased to put “faces” to the numbers my website stats show are stopping in. The first month the blog was here, the site (not just the blog, but my entire website) averaged 47.53 visits per day. Last month, the site averaged 136.21 visits per day (unfortunately, my website has remained largely static, but the blog changes regularly, so I’m quite certain where most of the traffic is routed).
Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you find something worthwhile to keep you coming back. I’d like to rearrange the furniture some, but I’m still not comfortable playing with the php. Besides, I haven’t found anything I really like yet.
