Update
I’m still off-line on my primary computer. The problem with being under warranty is you need to wait for them to send the part. I plan to call Monday to verify they have shipped the new power supply — they should have received my dead one last Monday.
Meanwhile, back at the homestead, I had my knee surgery on Tuesday — arthroscopic — to repair (trim) my torn meniscus on my right knee. Other than a nauseated reaction to anestesia (how do you spell that anyway?) for most of Tuesday afternoon, and my throat and neck feeling as if they’d wrestled with it and I’d lost for a few days, everything went well.
I began physical therapy on Friday, and it is scheduled for three times per week for four weeks. I stopped taking the “good” drugs Thursday morning so I could drive on Friday (they weren’t all that good anyway). I’m sitting in a Panera Bread by my house using the wireless internet to check in. I have abandoned my crutches and am walking normally — though not quickly.
I’ve done a very little bit of writing, a lot of reading, and watched a lot of TV (something I don’t do when I have Internet access). Since there’s no good TV on, I’ve mostly used the ESPN constant replay as background with brief respite from THe Weather Channel.
Wow, they’re making you wait aren’t they! Glad to hear from you though.
