Recent Comments
I found the recent comments plug-in. Now if I could just figure out exactly where to input my server name to keep my own trackbacks out, I’d have it made. I know it is ridiculously simple — I’ll play with it another time.
Or better still, if I could learn to comment out Trackbacks — that must also be ridiculously simple.
Duh. It’s in the configuration files. Piece of cake.
The only thing I don’t like about is that it creates trackbacks to your own site.
In the files? No. In the Administration interface:
Options > Recent Comments > Trackbacks > Ignore trackbacks originating from this ip address.
Click on “address of your webserver”, then the script will try to guess the right address.
Do you mean like when you link to another post of your own? If that’s what you mean, it’s easy to remove your site in the configuration files — one button click returned my site IP address, and I saved the configuration, and my trackbacks to me disappeared.
Thanks, Krischan. That’s exactly where I found it. It was so easy.
Thanks. I have been using Wp for 2 years and missed that.
