I Can’t Believe I Did It Again.
I schlepped the two miles to Books-A-Million to purchase one specific book: Thinking Through Philosophy: An Introduction.
Here’s what found its way home in my shopping bag:
- Tied to the Tracks by Rosina Lippi
- Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson (autographed)
- Philosophy Made Simple by Richard H. Popkin and Avrum Stroll
- The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman
- The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
- Germ: If You Breathe It Will Find You by Robert Liparulo (I really enjoyed Comes A Horseman)
- The Art of War by Sun Tzu, translated by Samuel B. Griffith
- Baltimore Blues by Laura Lippman (I’m not wild about all aspects of Tess Monaghan’s character, but I can’t quit reading her either)
- Santa, Baby by Jennifer Crusie, Lori Foster, and Carly Philips
You might have noticed a particular title missing from that list. No. I didn’t forget it. They didn’t have it. Sometimes, if you leave the section where the book is supposed to be and return to check the shelf, the book miraculously appears. (Come on, don’t deny it. Sometimes it happens.) Not this time. I tried that trick at least five times. And I didn’t need to add to my TBR pile. Oh, well. So many good books/authors. So little time. Back to NaNo scribblings.
But look at the wonderful books you came home with. May I say what great taste you’ve got?
(cough)
There is that…:D
