Book Bingeing
I did it again. Another book binge at Books-A-Million. Today’s haul:
- John Jakes’ Savannah (signed copy)
- Doro Bush Koch’s My Father My President: A Personal Account of the Life of George H.W. Bush
- Jack Kerouac’s On the Road
- Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ Heaven, Texas
- Laura Lippman’s Charm City
- Jill Churchill’s The House of Seven Mabels
- Sue Grafton’s A is for Alibi
- Sue Grafton’s B is for Burglar
- Mike Lupica’s Travel Team
- Brian Haig’s The President’s Assassin
- Nancy Antle’s Lost in the War
- a spiral bound 8×10 sketchbook to use with one of my Christmas presents
I haven’t read John Jakes since his Bicentennial Series (which I loved). Kerouac is a classic, so I believed I should have it. I’ve enjoyed everything by Laura Lippman that I’ve read, so I’m going to keep getting her stuff. I haven’t read Sue Grafton yet, but I’m going to give her a try. As an NBA fan, I enjoyed the last Mike Lupica book I read, so I’m going to give him another try. I haven’t read any of the others, but I like thrillers, and I’ve been reading more YA (Lost in the War) lately. The other three? Just curious.
Still working on goals for 2007.
I recently bought a book by Brian Jacques. But when I get some money straightened out I’m going to buy Talyn – Holly Lisle, Firewing’s Journey – Virginia McMorrow, Life Expectancy – Dean Koontz, and John Grisham’s new book.
Happy New Year!
