Dull Moments
That’s what they are. Maybe I’m just exhausted after reading about small town life last week, but I just haven’t found anything to be enthusiastic about here.
Natasha had her 30-day check on Saturday, and she seems to be fine. If her cough resumes, we’ll figure it was bronchial asthma (the prednisone she took for the previous 30 days may have suppressed the cough). If it doesn’t, we’ll presume she was infected with heartworms before she came to me a little over a year ago, and the treatment has been or is being successful.
I took the bicycle out for a short ride over the weekend. Because of the wind, I didn’t go as far as I planned.
I wrote a few words.
I read two more Lois McMaster Bujold novels. I’m about to begin the third.
I unpacked several boxes and rearranged the front bedroom. I vacuumed.
I poked around in my WordPress database. I’m starting to have a problem with slow loading pages, and I’m wondering what I can do about it. I saw a few tables begging to be optimized, so I cautiously pressed the “Optimize” button. Everything still seems to be working. I have not idea how SQL works, and I don’t want to be running willy nilly through my database, but…I have to learn somehow. Yes, I did back it up first.
It gets more mundane from there.
