Evermore Tease
Back in September, Lynn Viehl gave away 10 ARC’s of her forthcoming novel, Evermore. I didn’t win one. She did, however, offer unbound galley copies to everyone who entered but didn’t win if they wanted one. What’s not to want? Of course, I greedily took her up on her offer and received a beautiful package a short while later.
What was in it? Of course, the unbound galley of Evermore, beautifully inscribed and autographed by Lynn; a lovely cover letter where Lynn told the story of her grandmother, Steve, and a few other details of the book — yes, she wrote the poetry; a tasteful bookmark; and a clear, thick plastic envelope to hold everything together and protect it.
I was waiting for the right time to read, and this weekend was that time. The story is steamy and filled with tension and intrigue. You will want to read it — even if you don’t particularly care for vampire stories (I really can’t muster any enthusiasm for them except for Viehl’s Darkyn). If you haven’t read the first four novels in the Darkyn family, now is the perfect time. Evermore‘s release date is January, 2008. You don’t have to read the earlier novels to follow this story, but it’s so much richer if you have.
Head over to PBW and read what Lynn’s other characters have to say about the book. I’ll compose a review when the release date approaches. Until then, get reading.
I also got one of the unbound copies too and loved it!
I was so excited to get hte package. I practically mowed down my mail carrier to get it from him.
I read it right away. It was the best in the series, in my opinion. I loved Jayr. She was the perfect balance of strong yet vulnerable. I’ve been telling everyone about this book because it was sensational.
