NaNo Day 6 — 4527
Crap. Crap. Crap. That’s what this year’s NaNo novel is so far this year. Despite that, I keep plugging along, hoping some inspiration for this novel will strike and something salvageable will emerge. I’ve had a lousy two years on the writing front, and I hope I’ll turn that around soon.
I’ll be back in Alabama tomorrow night. I’m staying in a Holiday Inn Express tonight. Once I called the desk clerk about not being able to access the Internet via my browsers, the browser managed to break through and bring up web pages. The wireless connected just fine, but I wasn’t having luck getting beyond that point. Clearly, her voice dripping from the phone receiver sweet-talked the laptop into bringing up the web pages.
Here’s where I am as of this writing. I’ll try to get a few more words before turning in. I did have a good visit with my family. Writing really was secondary.
PBW‘s back. That’s a relief. Check out the latest.
Hugs. My Nano project is crap crap crap, too. You have more words than I do, and I’m out of town this weekend…
No, no, no, your NaNo novel is genius compared to mine.
Mine is so bad that ….
The EPA showed up and put up barriers and warning signs.
The local faith healer laid hands on it and lost his faith.
My computer actually threw up.
My characters are begging me for a quick death.
I hope that the “crap, crap, crap” stage passes 😀 Hope it goes better for you as NANO goes on.
There’s always that “this is crap” stage. But you’ll get there – that moment when the characters just tart talking to you will hit and it will all flow.
Keep going!
My novel isn’t anything I’d want to show anyone, but I’m having fun writing it, when I get a chance to actually work on it. Busy month and all that. Good luck with the rest of the story, Jean.
