Laptop Updates
Periodically, I need to spend an afternoon (or morning or evening) at Panera to allow the laptop to update all it’s software. Today, I’ve updated Windows, Firefox, Zonealarm, and all the Spacejock Software (Simon Haynes does a wonderful job making it easy to do) I have installed.
After I retire, not only do I need to ensure I have high speed internet installed in the new house (I’ll ensure that gets taken care of in April), but I’ll need to get the home network functional. I just haven’t felt like messing with it here — probably because Panera is so close to the house.
If I were moving back to San Antonio, I wouldn’t have to worry about it so much either (except for both hubby and I to be on line on our own machines), because they just opened a new Panera by the house there. Instead, I’m moving to a small town in Central Texas, and Lord only knows where the nearest WiFi hotspot is. That makes the home solution an imperative.
I’ll be heading home shortly to knock out a few words, but not nearly as many as I believe I should be knocking out.
I feel like I’m falling down on the job lately, writing wise, because I haven’t got any words. I’m sending two stories out to magazines, and I just looked at them today (my deadline is tomorrow, since the mail doesn’t run today) and have decided I hate everything about both of them. *sigh*
I hope you work out your internet problems. Good luck.
