Threads POV Plotting
I returned to working on Threads & Ties today. As a result of last month’s workshop at Forward Motion, I’ve downloaded a writing tool from Margaret. It’s a spreadsheet for outlining a novel by POV.
Ideally, I’d use the tool as I begin work. In this case, I’m doing it after finishing the first draft, and I’m going to use the outline as a device to find where I may have problems in the novel. I worked through the first 15,000 words this evening.
I’m not a writer, but out of curiosity, I looked at those writing tools. I had no idea there could be so much involved in writing! My hat’s off to those of you who take on our print entertainment!
Those tools could be helpful in other things as well. I may have to tinker with one or two, see what I come up with. (Yeah, in all my spare time! Ha!)
