LibraryThing Widget
I finally got around to putting a widget for LibraryThing (random books from my library) in the sidebar. It’s way towards the bottom. I may play with its location, but for now, it’s hanging around below Search but above Trackbacks. I put the 200 book version at the bottom of the 2008 Reading List page.
I’ve only put a small portion of my library into LibraryThing so far, but I hope to fix that as I unpack the library after the move. I never did get my library set up in this house as I’d planned. Once I get to Central Texas, I don’t plan on moving for the foreseeable future, and I’m looking forward to settling in. Yes, we bought a house there a year ago today that I haven’t said much about out of privacy concerns, but hubby and I both love it. It’s lovely inside — we’ll make a few modifications down the road, but the real work lies in painting the exterior and the garage we just had built.
We’ll be down to three geographic references come May instead of the current four. All of them will be in Texas. We have our home in San Antonio and our property and house (soon to be home) in Central Texas. That’s where I’m retiring to and will spend time with hubby at — something we haven’t been able to do during our thirteen-plus years of marriage.
He’ll be here next week, helping me get some things in order for the move, so I won’t be around much. (Yes, I know I’ve said that before. I’ll say it again.)
Twilight in my subconscious? Sure. Which reminds me, Tech, did you happen to think of a better title while you were reading it?
Gee, that’ll be nice when you get all settled in the same zip code as hubby! 🙂
Yes, it will, but that won’t be quite yet. We won’t even be in the same area code, but we will be in the same state. 🙂
I’ve put the Library Thing widget on my blog too. Not quite to 200 books entered yet, I’m working on it (slowly). Have a great week with your hubby. 🙂
Good luck with the move!
I thought about putting Librarything on my blog, but I haven’t got around to it yet. I’m really too lazy to do that.
The Devil’s Manifesto. Or maybe Merlin’s Manifesto. Except I like the first one better. Or how about “Hilda Revealed”? Yeah, I like that one. 🙂
Oooh. I like that. The Devil’s Manifesto… hmmmm.
“Hilda Revealed” needs to have photos. 🙂
I like “The Devil’s Manifesto,” too. And it might be cool to have some of Merlin’s Manifesto in the book. Maybe he releases it to the press, and you quote excerpts from it before each chapter — sinister quotes.
How did you get the LibraryThing widget onto your blog? I’ve been wanting to add mine to my blog, but I know next to nothing about how to make WordPress do things.
