Figs
I picked the first crop off the fig tree today. Usually, we don’t get to them before the birds, but this year, I’ve managed to get about 20-25 ripe ones.

Yum… fresh figs off of the tree.
I figured I’d stop by and say, “hi.” But was distracted by the figs. While I don’t have any figs over here, one of my new neighbors is growing basil, rosemary, and mint in his backyard. Fresh spices in the backyard… what a treat. I have a tree in my new backyard with the remant of some shrivelled fruit. I don’t know what it is yet, but if I’m lucky, it will be something tasty.
Take care,
Jim
Good to hear from you, Jim. Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to hearing about your new place.
Yum! I don’t know that I’ve ever had figs off the tree before. The tree is probably too big to throw a net over to keep the birds out, isn’t it?
I’ve had the worst time trying to comment on your blog for the last few days. I think I’ve got it licked now, though. 🙂
