Current Reading List
I picked up two more books in the past two days, but here’s what’s on the nightstand now:
Failure is not An Option: Mission Control from Mercury to Apollo 13 and Beyond by Gene Kranz. I’ve met Mr. Kranz and was fortunate enough to get a personalized, autographed copy of this book. But, more importantly, reading about the rapid development process of meeting President Kennedy’s challenge to put a man on the moon is engaging. This is the America I’d like to think we still were (but I’ve only seen glimmers of it in recent years).
The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain: A Course in Enhancing Creativity and Artistic Confidence, by Betty Edwards
New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook: Guided Practice in the Five Basic Skills of Drawing, by Betty Edwards
The Mansions of Philosophy: A Survey of Human Life and Destiny by Will Durant. Although published in 1929, this volume is remarkably refreshing and contemporary. Simply fascinating reading.
Logic for Dummies by Mark Zegarelli.
There are more, but those are the ones I’m actively reading. The two newbies? I picked up Category 7 by Bill Evans and Marianna Jameson and Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer.
What are you reading?
Whew. Sounds like a heavy reading list. I’m impressed.
