Traveling, Behind
I’m heading for home. Dad’s doing very well, and they agreed while they enjoyed having me there, they didn’t really NEED me any longer.
I’m trying to catch up on some words before I leave the motel this morning and get on the road for home. I anticipate arriving there tonight, and I suspect hubby will prefer I do something with him instead of hunting and pecking for word count on the computer this evening. Something about he missed me or something. No. I don’t get it either. Not when there’s words to be written, but that’s just the way he is.
As of right now, I’m at 26,322 and typing. Almost all garbage words today solely for word count, but I have been surprised at what either develops into salvageable ideas or what words can be kept when I’ve done garbage words before, so I don’t write them off.
Glad you got home safely. The trip must have been uneventful but I’m glad the weather held. Hubby and the furries are happy, too, I’m sure.
I’m pretty amazed what I’m pulling out of junk piles this year, too. It makes me smile, every time I deviate from the outline, I can hear the Editor shriek in my head, and then Walter throws something at her and says, “Shut up! It’s my turn!” People who don’t write just smile and nod, or tell me to get my meds checked. 🙂
You tell ‘er, Walter!
