I just installed WordPress 2.7 on my primary blog (this one). It takes a little getting used to, but, generally, I think I like the new back end interface.

I like the QuickPress feature, but it appears I can only add Tags from there (which I haven’t begun using yet) and cannot select a Category (which I do use).
