Theme Generator (sort of)
I think I blogged a few weeks back about a program called Artisteer. I decided to purchase it today and have installed two innaugural themes on other sites I’ve created. The theme for PolarBear60 I mentioned initially is now visible with the “trial” watermark removed. I’ve also created a new, slightly different theme for the NatRogers site.
On both, I tried to keep the colors similar to what I had before and worked on the “feel” of the theme. NatRogers “feels” a little bright to me. Is it too bright? Something else? Or is it just me?
I have a draft HTML site, but I think I’ll be awhile before I have that out in public. I see there are still some fine points I need to discover on the blog themes, but so far, so good. For blogger users, the company has indicated they plan to add the capability to generate Blogger themes, but I don’t think it’s available yet. They are also mulling the posibility of producing Mac and Linux versions. So far, just PCs can use this.
The color of NatRogers is… perfect. I love it. In fact, I would paint my car that color. PolarBear60 is great too, but I’m an orange kind a guy.
Oh, I found your site through Twitter. Good find, I say.
Thanks, Nick. I was thinking it looked too orange here on the Mac, so I appreciate the feedback. It’s supposed to be a little more a reddish brown–closer to the burgundy range. (Note: I think both Ford and GM make cars/trucks in that burnt orange color.)
I took a look at http://www.glyde.com. Good luck with the launch. I’ll keep the site in mind — I’m not a huge early adopter, but I do watch things.
Thanks for checking it out, RandR. I appreciate that.
I’ve seen Corvettes in that burnt orange color and I think I’ve seen a Ford Flex in that color too. It’s the new red.
Anyway, thanks again for the well wishes.
A friend of mine has a Vette in that color, and I was thinking of the Ford Pick up, but I believe you’re most correct about the Flex.
