What’s Happening in Your Neck of the Woods?
I’ve been wondering, and I’ll be expanding my perusals beyond Facebook soon. I still really haven’t gotten back in the swing of things. As some of you know, I sprained my right ankle pretty bad last week. It’s coming along nicely. This morning, while trying to get back into things, I was trimming front hedges in San Antonio. I reached across to clip on, and something has not worked right above my right rear hip ever since. It’s as if I pinched something. Ouch. I’ve promised hubby I’ll try to be more sympathetic to his back woes.
I’m sure it didn’t help that I forgot to take my Tylenol and Aleve yesterday. After a day of not taking that, I’m usually feeling pretty creaky. It didn’t seem to help the back much today, though.
I hope you’re all doing well. Talk to me — distract me from the discomfort/pain.
We’re not doing a very good job distracting you, are we? Maybe you should work on Twilight for a while so you don’t hurt yourself. Oh, wait, you might bang your head on the table in frustration and that might leave a bruise. Or you might get on a roll and strain your wrist muscles. Don’t laugh–I’ve had tendinitis from too much typing. Thank goodness it wasn’t carpal tunnel.
What the heck? Just come and sit in my hot tub and have a mojito!
Good idea for working on Twilight — my wrists are still killing me from last month. I’m developing carpal tunnel, but it isn’t bad enough yet to require outside assistance.
Hot tub? I have one of those!
i did something yesterday to screw up my right-mid-back and it completely locked up last night when I tried to go to bed. Ended up going to the chiropractor this morning and 3 pops later, the muscles loosened up. Still a bit stiff and achy, but it’s not so bad now. Mostly I’m just tired since I got like zippo sleep. lol
Fwiw, while heat feels better, cold works better. I’m icing it 20 min every 2 hours.
Tammy, thanks for the tip on cold vice heat. I was thinking that, but hubby poo-pooed the idea. I’ll give it a try.
I pulled a hip muscle a couple years ago and was told to alternate cold and heat. That did the trick. Then again, mine was a simple matter of too much weight on the leg press.
Hopefully you’ll both feel better soon. I’m going to be very careful today so I don’t join you.
