Alison Kent’s ONE GOOD MAN
Alison Kent has a new release coming out, and I was lucky enough to snag an author’s copy from her. It’s her latest Harlequin Blaze release, One Good Man. I think this is either my first or second Harlequin Blaze, so I’m not considered a slam dunk to buy this type of book. Here’s a bit about the book:
Jamie Danby is the sole survivor of a restaurant massacre nearly ten years ago who has changed her name and gone into hiding to avoid having the killer find her. The story’s been cold until the opening scene when the newspaper publishes that the remains of the final victim have been recovered and identified. Jamie’s fear is that the killer will come looking for her now that the story is back in the news. Enter Texas Ranger Kell Harding, cold case specialist, who has come to convince her to try one more thing that may provide new insight into the case.
Naturally, in addition to working the case, the two are uncommonly attracted to one another. I enjoyed reading the story. I will say if it were anything other than a Harlequin Romance, I’d have been screaming at the pages for the completely unprofessional situations the characters found themselves in, but, hey, it’s a romance, and we have to get to HEA* somehow.
Overall, ONE GOOD MAN is an enjoyable read. Give it a try.
