I Suppose I Should Say Something…
Something.
I’m going to be scarce for the next few weeks. I’ll be playing chauffeur on the Great Northeast Adventure. No. No. It’s not that bad. Hubby is programming things I want to do as well. I’m going to try to catch up with a few friends — old and new — on part of the trip.
Other than driving and having loud arguments long discussions with hubby, I have several things on my to do list. I have a book to read and review for Library Thing. I am reading and thoroughly enjoying Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I still have a few category romances to read in preparation for NaNoWriMo in November. And, speaking of category romances, I have to finish planning the one I’ll be writing for NaNoWriMo. And I’m reading several non-fiction books on The Gilded Age.
Concerned about the state of the world today? It all began moving in this direction after Reconstruction and as a result of the excesses of The Gilded Age. That ushered in The Age of Progressivism, which liberals are still attempting to implement — it’s a very patient group, but I think they’re not so patient these days. That, in a nutshell, is what I’ve been reading about and finding extremely interesting.
I’ll try to stop in periodically from the road.
