Sticking With 16G
I’ve decided to stick with the 16G model iPad. I refocused on my main reason for buying it as well as learned to use some features of iTunes I didn’t understand before. What are those features, you’re asking? Ummmmm, how to upload content from the iPad to iTunes, for instance.
FYI, I checked, and my nano is an 8G model. Room for plenty more audio files if I want, too.
For now I’m focusing on “dressing” my iPad. After much searching, the only place which is carrying iPad accessories is the Apple Store, so after checking local stores and online, I returned to peruse their limited selection. I knew I wanted a skin. They had a rubber coat from incase, available in hot pink, purple, or black. It would have been cushiony but not esthetically pleasing, and black was my only option, because I don’t do pink or purple (yes, I fail as a woman.). Hubby found a clear thick skin on the very top hook pushed to the back, and I had him pull it down for me. It’s the Belkin Grip Vue, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I love the looks of the iPad, but the metal is slippery, and picking the beast up has been cause for concern. I didn’t want to drop it, and if I should happen to lose my grip, I’d like it’s fall to be cushioned.
I’m still searching for a carry bag. There are several in the works that look like they’ll do the job. If I go for an iPad specific one, Booq and Coccon will be making cost-effective models. For a little more dough, Tom Bihn plans a Ristretto iPad bag. I won’t be getting the iMaxi, which is a carry package apparently designed to play on the iPad name. I fou d a really nice looking and expensive leather messenger bag yesterday, but I can’t seem to find the link today. I’ll spend a little more time looking for the right bag. I could wind up using something I already have.
I’ve put a lot more items on the calendar. It’s a nice laptop size view, and I like that. I’m manually entering Contacts. I received my receipt from the iTunes for everything I purchased over the weekend. $33.
Oh! I did find free books on iBooks — Gutenberg library titles are available there, too. Which brings me to App Store navigation concerns. The App Store makes the top 50 apps in any category easily available. If you want more, you’ll have search.
