Tech Support
The Internet connection went down at 0830 this morning. I thought it was an outage, so I waited until noon to call tech support. ATT tech support says it was my power cord. I drove to Temple, bought a new modem (because they don’t sell power cords), came back, plugged the new power cord in the old modem, and it works. I guess tech support knew what they were talking about. Now, I’m on a mission to buy another power cord, because they have to be cheaper than $100. And I’ll keep the new modem as a spare, I guess, because they say these modems last about 2 years — that’s how old it is. Or, if I can find the cord, I can return the new modem — apparently I have 30 days to do that.
