NaNo 2010, Day 1: 2093 Words
Good, solid start. Introduced three characters. Two more to go — maybe. Can’t complain about 2093 words.
We got a solid start on the reasons we’re spending this month in San Antonio. I removed one dead tree that was threatening the phone and cable lines coming into the house. We don’t use the cable, but we do use a landline. I got that tree out by the alley in time for the trash guys to pick it up. Then I went into the back yard and trimmed the patio hedge and began trimming the pitisporum. I raked up that debris and loaded it into trash bags. Hubby was loading dirt into buckets to take to Central Texas. A pile of driveway bricks fell over in last week’s big wind, so I picked up the fallen bricks. Then I raked the grass hubby planted this summer and watered it. The neighborhood birds loved that! They were playing in the sprinkler.
Something in the yard debris has not agreed with my head. My eyes are itchy and crusty feeling. I have a headache. Taking some generic Benadryl stuff in hopes it will help. So far, no luck.
