NaNo Day 3: 4952 words
Count for today was 2014 — I was a little behind after yesterday, so I knew I had to catch up a little.
Cut more on another tree that will not die today. I removed nails from old fence sections that are being broken up. Did some laundry. Played with kittens. At five and a half weeks old, they are running, jumping, checking on everything. Of course, that wears them out, and they gather back in the crate to sleep in a pile. It’s going to be so hard to let them go to knew homes.
Number Two is eating everything in site. Number Four is still the biggest kitten. Number Three is still very curious and the first to flop on her back and let you rub her tummy. Number One is equally spunky. They’re all curious, but they will sit on the floor and look up at us and have the cutest expressions on their faces.
Tomorrow morning, I have to move a large pile of tree trimmings from the driveway to the alley so the trash guys can haul it away. Then, of course, I’ll go make some more. I think I’ll work in the front and side yards tomorrow. The front hedge grew while I was gone (imagine that!), and there are some trimmings I can make to spruce up the yard a little. Once I get that stuff done, I’ll return to the back yard for more trimming. If we don’t get some rain, we’ll have to begin watering the front yard. And, of course, I’ll have to find some more words tomorrow.
