NaNo Day 1: 3375/50,000
As with last year, I’m doing Backwards NaNo — The Reward System. It frontloads the word count. The first day is the “worst” and every day you need a few fewer words to meet your goal. Last year, there was about a week in the middle where I was behind the goals, but I eventually caught up.
This year’s novel’s working title is Reunion. Six high school friends who haven’t been in touch since graduation reunite at their 35th class reunion. I guess it’s Chick Lit? I’m not very good with assigning genre’s to what I write.
For backwards NaNo, the first day’s goal is 3346 words. Today, I logged 3375. I’m calling that good. Tomorrow’s goal is to add 3216 to that total. See you tomorrow night.
