NaNo Day 2: 10,959/50,000
This is adding up fairly quickly. That’s partially due to the repetitive nature of the story. The six girls are in one place, and I’m reporting first person for one of the game and third for the other five. I have to repeat the conversations, so I copy and paste. The challenge is to present each person’s side of the conversation and the gathering. I’m having to refer to five other versions of the story to make sure I get the details right. As I write this, I think the format for reading this story will be to make it available from any of the six characters, and the reader can either read straight through for the single character or they can read it differently. I’ll wind up determining those things during the revision process. I need to tell each of the six stories first, then I’ll determine the best way to break them out.
39,041 words to go. This is a good start.
