Little Orange 2 (Peaches)
Little Orange 2 (I think I’ll call him Peaches) has been sitting in the side yard all afternoon. He’s been fascinated with something in the roll of fencing (which is horribly overgrown with weeds).
He started on that brown spot on the other side of the blocks, facing the fencing roll (the green, weedy growth). Then he moved over to a pebbled patio stone beside the garage. Finally, I see him sitting here. I just looked again, and he’s lying down. He’s been alternately studying something in the weeds and relaxing.
I didn’t put his food out until early afternoon, but he must have been waiting, because when I checked a short while later, it was all gone. I figured he was long gone, but no, that’s when I saw him staring intently at the fencing roll.
I think this is the little guy who was screaming beside the heat pump in early October. I quietly named him Peaches then. When I didn’t see him when we got back, I figured he was gone. Then these guys showed up. If it’s the same cat, he grew a lot in five weeks, but he’d have doubled his age, why not his size?
I think it may be him, because even though he’s not the dominant cat of the two, he’s slightly less skittish when I make a noise or speak to him. I’m not very good at guessing ages on cats, though, so he could be from an earlier litter, and I’m way off.
