June Property Update
It’s been a busy month. Here’s what’s been going on in our property tales:
San Antonio House:
- I got the lawn mowed
- Watering has been going according to local legal permissions
- I got the volunteer trees removed near the back corner barbecue area
- Did some routine cleaning while I was down there
The Ranch:
- Submitted out plan for Wildlife Management to the Appraisal District. No news yet on whether they have accepted it.
- I have a meeting with a more or less local Parks and Wildlife representative week after next to tour the ranch and see if he has any suggestions for us.
The Store:
- Got it mowed
- A cable came off one of the roll-up doors, and Mr. L got it re-installed. While he did that, he lubricated all the rollers
- The ’46 Mercury Convertible is installed in the center bay. She’ll be comfortable there for as long as she needs to be.
The Shop:
- Mr. L has been working on shop lighting.
- He’s also doing some rearranging to make space to move the lift to another position, freeing up space for other things.
Central Texas House:
- Mowing and trimming completed for this week
- Mr. L has painted the middle boards with color coat and has started stripping the first several rows of shingles on the second floor. This is only on a portion of one wall, but it’s going to help us verify the color scheme is going to look the way we think it will.
- Even though we applied weed killer that was supposed to stop them, we’re still getting a few sticker burs. 76 this morning before mowing.
