Cats: Relaxing in the Window
The garden window is a popular spot in San Antonio. Until Lady returned, Rossie was a regular fixture. Since Lady came back with me, Rossie is spending her days back under the rocking chair in the bedroom.
On the bright side, Lady has not misbehaved with anyone. To allow Rossie time to move around without concerns, Lady willingly goes to her room around eight in the evening. I let her out when I get up in the morning. Rossie seems to accept this, because she’ll come out to talk to Mr. L.
Lady, Ajax, and Natasha have enjoyed several forays into the back yard this week. In fact, I keep finding Lady sitting by the back door as if to say, “I’m ready to go back out now.”
Ruby has rarely left the garden window. She’s like a different cat down here. In San Antonio, she’s approachable, even welcoming scratches under the chin. In Central Texas, she’s out and about, but she won’t have anything to do with us.
Ajax works hard to perfect his Dali Cat image. Natasha has been clingy. Delta sprawls on the bed most of the day (her normal routine), and Daphne is her usual confident self. Tarzan acts like he wants to go into the backyard, but before I close the door, he’s back inside. Pretty Boy Floyd has been making regular stops by my side for petting. Sometimes, he’ll even let Mr. L pet him.
Cats are relaxed.
