Cats: Boys Will Be Boys
At least that’s one consideration. Ajax has been on a tear lately. He’s been going after Rossie and Tarzan. Lady has been going after Rossie.
Rossie to her credit, fights back, but she’s always on the defensive. Rossie leaves claws embedded in heads, but Rossie’s ears are getting battered. The good news is with his feeding Rossie in her lair, Mr. L has had to raise her dresser about an inch to make it easier for the new, slightly larger Rossie to get in and out. Mr. L reports she’s out more and more approachable. By no means should this be interpreted to assume she’s a normal housecat. Not in the least, but we’re seeing incremental signs of improvement.
Ruby has probably made the most progress. I’ve even been able to pet her when she’s downstairs. Not consistently, but a couple of times a week, maybe. We have better luck approaching her upstairs.
Natasha was chasing Daphne yesterday. That was a first to see. I didn’t detect animosity in the exchange, either. Natasha doesn’t usually interact with the other cats (she sees them as lesser beings, I think).
Sneaky alternately stalks us and snubs us. She’s a funny cat. The outside boys (Walter and Boomer) have been scarce this week. I hope they’re okay. I worry when I don’t see them, but they are more comfortable being out and about at night much of the time.
Everybody is healthy and, in their own way, happy. Natasha, Ajax, Lady, Tarzan, Rossie, Delta, Ruby, Daphne, Sneaky, Walter and Boomer all wish you a Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah, and a Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas to you and Mr. L and all the kitties from Mom, Hank, TX, DD, BigKid,BoyFriend, MidKid, LilKid, Remy Dog, Bitsy Dog, Bridget Cat, and Lexi Dog.
I love reading your reports!
And I love hearing from you, Lyn!
