February 2015 Property Update
Our weather has been running warm and cool. We’ve had plenty of days where we could be outside in shirtsleeves, but we’ve had a few where we needed to wear a warmer jacket. It’s all relative. Our coldest days would be considered balmy up north. We’ve been busy puttering around the property, and here’s out update for the month.
San Antonio House: I only spent a few days there at the end of January to run a few errands in San Antonio. I did get one half of the front yard vacuumed and the red oak acorns bagged and out for the trash.
The Ranch: We made a second rock run for filling the water feature. I’ve been working on the Wildlife Management report for 2014, and it’s nearly ready to turn in. The rats in the motor home devoured the snacks, and we left them some more. We’ll do this until we go out there and the snacks remain. It looks like they’ve chewed the wires, so getting the motor home running enough to bring it into town and get it into protective covering is looking challenging.
The Store: I’ve hauled my keeper glass back to the store for storage.
The Shop: Mr. L finished cleaning his bricks and has a stack of 700+. Broken bricks have been used to fill the water feature at the ranch. I finished my glass inventory. Mr. L is putting the finishing touches on the Jeep transmission rebuild.
The Central Texas House: Mr. L is getting the upper shingles primed and painted. He’s doing a wonderful job. We’re going to like this when it’s done.
I’m in the middle of decluttering the dining room. We’re chugging along on projects.
