Photos: The Trap
I’m trying to trap Boomer. No luck so far. Here are some trap antics that have ensued in the process:
Junior readily entered the trap and was surprised when he got caught. I foolishly attempted to transfer him to a carrier, and he escaped. He came back to eat Fancy Feast from a bowl, so I didn’t lose much ground, but I haven’t seen him since Friday.
I was surprised when Walter trapped himself later in the afternoon. I guess he was, too, because he cussed me out royally when I went outside to let him out (I don’t need him until next month when his vaccinations are due — I’ll probably not get him near a trap again).
Walter was surprised a few seconds later:
I thought he was cussing me out, but photographic evidence seems to support he was more upset with Sneaky who is probably laughing at him from behind me.
Even with the trap open, he stayed in there cussing up a storm. He was so loud, Boomer came up the steps with me there to see what was happening:
After Walter finally left the trap, I reset it in hopes Boomer (the target of the day’s trapping activities) would join in the fun.
While Boomer looked into the trap, he did not go for the bait. This morning, after I set the trap in hopes of capturing Boomer, Sneaky peered in. I told her to get out. She did, but moments later she walked back in, eating the early bait. I decided to let her do what she was going to do. I wasn’t surprised when I heard the trap trip moments later. I went to let her out, but she was too fast to be caught. The trap was empty. Now, you know why I call her Sneaky.
