Wednesday Wanderings: Why Always One Light Bulb
We have a lot of ceiling fan light fixtures. Most of them come with a five-light array. For some reason, no matter when one light bulb burns out, and no matter when I change the bulb, if I have all five bulbs working, one invariably burns out. If I leave one burned out, the other four seem to remain lit.
Ceiling fans and lights. Annoying.Β What household phenomenon annoys you?
Household phenomenon.
The never-ending dust.
And the fact that this house is full of hoarders. With me, it’s books. It used to be office supplies and craft materials, too, but I no longer craft or write, so those items…have been passed down to the progeny. So they’re still in the house. Every time I decide something Must Go, someone claims it, “for when I get a place of my own.”
Sigh.
I wonder about the bulbs, though. Are they wired in parallel? If so, then taking one out of the circuit…no, that’s backwards. No idea why you’re experiencing the sacrificial bulb syndrome.
Hope you are continuing to progress in your healing. π
I have started a while back not replacing all the bulbs in our two ceiling fans. The areas where they are, we just don’t need that much light at one time and is cheaper not to fill.
My annoying household phenomenon is that no matter how well I make a list before shopping, I’ll find something we are out of or use the last of something as soon as I get home! π
