Cats: Happy to Be Home
Stephen said the cats texted him when we got home. Most of the cats are happy to be here. Daphne even slept with me the first night we were home, and she rarely does that. Lady was grouchy for the first few hours we were home, then she settled down and expected some cuddling.
Ajax and Sapphire were sick while we were gone and received treatment. This is why I’m thankful I can board them with their doctor. If something isn’t right, they get looked at right away and taken care of.
Delta scratched our dear tech’s face. I’m so sorry, Mary. She’s a sweetheart at home, but she goes Delta Force on her caretakers at the clinic (hence her name).
Sneaky and Daphne were rooming together when I walked in to pick them up. I hadn’t expected that, but they were getting along just fine.
Junior was waiting for us when we got home, and he demanded his Fancy Feast. He and Sneaky are most demanding of their Fancy Feast in the morning. As I feared, the automatic feeder jammed early in our trip, and that certainly explains why Junior was anxious for some food. If I could catch him, I would have boarded him, too. An upside of him being hungry, I’ve been able to pet him more while he’s eating and a little bit as he is away from the food bowl. He still won’t approach any closer than 4-6 feet when we don’t have food.
My StealthCam SD card reader stopped working, so I was unable to have a game camera recording activity while we were gone. I don’t know who has been visiting other than Junior. I’ll be replacing the StealthCam with another Bushnell like the one I use at the ranch.
