A: Auto-suggestion
We begin with the Principle of Auto-suggestion, the method for influencing the subconscious mind. Auto-suggestion is the means our conscious mind uses to communicate with our subconscious mind. Through the dominating thoughts we permit in our conscious mind, our subconscious mind is influenced. We have absolute control over the material reaching our subconscious mind; however, this does not mean we exercise that control. In a great many instances, we do not exercise control, usually because we are not aware that we CAN control or influence our subconscious mind. This explains why so many people go through life in poverty.
That statement probably upset some of you, but please keep reading. The subconscious mind is a fertile garden spot. In the absence of planting more desirable crops, weeds grow in abundance in our subconscious mind. But, if we consciously influence the thoughts entering our conscious mind and feeding our subconscious mind, we can plant more valuable crops than the weeds which grow if it is left uncultivated.
There are six specific steps you take to ensure your mind is planted with fertile, valuable crops. Briefly, once you have determined what you most desire, you write it down and read the statement twice daily with emotion and enthusiasm (your subconscious responds to emotion and enthusiasm!). You must see and feel yourself in possession of what you most desire. This communicates to your subconscious mind the faith that you can achieve what you most desire. Through repetition, you create thought habits conducive to your efforts to transmute your desire into reality.
You do not achieve what you most desire merely by thinking about it, you must envision yourself doing the work necessary to achieve what you desire, but you may not know the details of this at first. You do not get something for nothing. Only you can determine if you are willing to pay the price to achieve what you most want. By the process of auto-suggestion, you prepare your subconscious mind to be seeking the opportunity and the means to achieve what you most desire.

Hi. I’m stopped by from the A-Z Challenge. I’m a blog butterfly who has popped out of her cocoon after the last 11 months. I like what you say about needing to put in the work to make things happen. So true. I am working on that with my kids. That it’s hard work more than talent that gets there in the end.
I am writing letters to dead poets who have inspired me over the years. Today, I kicked off AA Milne.
Enjoy the challenge.

Happy A-Z. I am doing , NaNo, not A-Z. Popping in to wish you the best. Training the subconscious is hard work and not as easy as one might think, even when trying.

Good luck with NaNo. I always appreciate your visits.
I so agree with your statement “You do not get something for nothing”.
People sit doing nothing about their failures but complaining.
For me, writing down all my dreams, my plans, my actions. As you said, it always helped me influence my subconscious mind and prepare to win the battles.
Good post Jean, all the best for A-Z.

I appreciate the visit. Your Christopher Robin is adorable.
Hi, dropping by from the A-Z Challenge. I used auto-suggestion on my children all the time, well until they got old enough to know what I was up to 😉
Maybe they learned to use the technique for their own benefit? Thanks for visiting!
Wonderful post. I’ve been practicing this since I read Hill’s book. It really does work and it make so much sense!
Have a great weekend!
Lori
Thank you. Amazing when you think about it, isn’t it? Have a great weekend, too.
I’m here from the A-Z challenge…what a great read! I’m fascinated by the idea of auto-suggestion.
So glad you stopped in, Erica! Hey, everyone, check out Erica’s Challenge theme — weather forecast poetry! http://ericageraldmason.com The rest of her blog is fascinating as well.
