Cats: A Quiet Day in May
We’re experiencing a quiet day in May. Cats are lounging. Rossie got up and played for a couple of minutes then returned to her rocking chair. Sapphire and Daphne played earlier, but now, Sapphire is back in her usual lounging place on the tower, three feet from me. For a cat who doesn’t want to be petted or held, she has a strong desire to be near her humans. Ajax is sleeping on a chair. Sneaky is in her fireplace. Seriously. It’s her favorite place. I suppose because it’s solidly defensible on three sides. Lady is draped over a box. I think everyone else is upstairs, probably sleeping on a bed.
My only concern is Walter. I haven’t seen him on the kitty cam for four days now. That’s not unheard of — I believe he may have another place he likes to lounge up the street. I do harbor concern for him in the back of my mind. Maybe we’ll see him soon.
Hope Walter is okay. My cat cheats on my with the neighbor lady, so I can relate.
What a lovely scene you paint. Peaceful kitties draped around the house like furry doilies. Nice.
Lyn, Walter showed up on camera last week. Along with a plethora of other cats, including a Junior look-alike. His brother must be visiting. I’m going to have to sort through this latest camera chip import to figure out how many there are.
