Cats: What a Month!
Now that we’re mostly home, I can reveal we’ve been traveling since the end of September. Not a single trip but one large trip and three smaller trips. When we got home from the big trip, we loaded all the cats into the truck and took them to San Antonio, where we learned an appointment that was supposed to happen on the 26th was really on Nov 1. In between, we went to Dallas for the weekend. Rather that haul all the cats back to Central Texas just to leave them alone for a weekend then bring them back to San Antonio, I decided to leave the four cats who like travel the least in San Antonio on food and water towers with fresh litter boxes. The five cats who returned to Central Texas with us spent the weekend alone at home on food and water towers with fresh litter boxes. Sneaky got to stay out with the other four, because the cats who bother her the most remained in San Antonio. I think everything went well, but when we returned from Dallas, she wanted back into her private spaces, which I allowed her to do.
When we returned from Dallas, I made sure the five in Central Texas were restocked, then we went back to San Antonio to take care of business there. Business concluded successfully, and we returned to Central Texas on Thursday. Everyone is back together. Ajax, Lady, Tarzan, Sneaky, and Delta especially missed us. Daphne, Rossie, Ruby, and Sapphire are all doing well.
Daphne and Sapphire have annual exams due this week, and I forgot about this before releasing Sapphire into the house. I’ll have to capture her sometime this week.
All the outside cats are doing well (Boomer is probably still a sick kitty, but he’s eating regularly). I think Zelda has moved her kittens to under the side porch steps or nearby. I have not seen them yet, but she’s behaving in a manner that makes me think they are there. I hope this means she is ready to wean them. I’ll be watching the game camera for kitten sightings.
