Master Key Experience: True Health
One of my Personal Pivotal Needs is True Health. What’s the story? How’s it coming for me? I’m pleased with where I am in this process, which is mostly mental. When my mental state is in the right place, I do healthy things. My mental state was terrible when I started the Master Keys program in September of 2015. Last year, I worked on Harmony. I have a long way to go with Harmony, but I’ve come far enough that I’m comfortable taking my next True Health steps.
I did start with a key positive statement last year: I eat before 8 pm. Why is this statement so important? First, my mental state when I’m working to achieve a healthy weight has been “I never get to eat what I want when I want it.” This statement tells Subby, “Sure. You get to eat. Do it before 8 pm. We got our eating done before 8 pm, and we can eat again in the morning.” The reassures Subby, and Subby is happy. That was step one. It took just a couple of weeks, and this became the easiest thing in the world for me to do.
After a few months of this, I knew I needed to take the next step. But what was the next step? I spent time in my Sits mulling this over. Finally, last month, I knew I needed to conquer my mid-afternoon starvation sensation. Of course, I wasn’t starving. I sometimes had hunger pangs, but they would pass. What troubled me was my mental urge to eat something even if I wasn’t hungry. How did I need to deal with that? I needed a positive statement that would also reassure Subby I wasn’t leaving him hanging out to starve. First, I knew I needed to eat lunch before 1:30 pm. Then, I came up with: I skip afternoon snacks and feel victorious! Subby wants to feel victorious. If Subby can skip afternoon snacks and feel victorious, he’s all for it. And if Subby likes it, I do too.
Guess what else Subby wants to do? Subby wants to move in the morning. Subby and I are doing this by working in the yard, taking a walk, riding our recumbent bike, and we’re doing DDP Yoga a couple of days a week.
In addition to nutritional and movement habits, I’m adjusting supplements to optimize vitamins and minerals in my body. Master Formula is a balanced multi-vitamin and NingXia Red is a wolfberry-based drink. I take CitraSlim, and I have little or no afternoon hunger pangs, which makes it easier to skip snacks and feel victorious! My fingernails have been brittle (a typical winter challenge), so I added Sulfurzyme. I’ve also added SuperB before bed for neurological support — I’m experiencing tingling in my right hand not associated with carpal tunnel syndrome (which is also acting up in the right hand). Since I started taking the SuperB, I’ve noticed a lot more nerve regeneration activity in both my knees. Coincidental? I don’t believe so.
True Health is manifesting. These are some of the techniques I’m using. Want to learn more about the Master Key Experience? Click on the Master Key Experience tab above this post. The next class won’t start until September, but if you get on my early notification list, you’ll receive some tips to help you learn a few basics while you wait.
Way to go!!! I hadn’t thought of my true health news as including mental health, too, but of course it does! Thank you for pointing this out!
