Cats: Not Much Going On
The cats’ lives have been mostly quiet lately, but you expect an update anyway, so here goes.
Sneaky and Rossie accompanied me on a quick trip to San Antonio for a five minute HVAC installation inspection by the city on Friday. Sneaky was relaxed and enjoyed the trip. She played with toys and cavorted throughout the house. She was especially talkative. Rossie doesn’t do well with short trips because she takes too long to adjust to the transition to enjoy herself. While she spent time in the garden window, she spent more time hiding behind printer cartridges on the bookshelf. I’ll remember not to subject her to short trips unless I can’t help it.
Tarzan had a bladder infection, which he has been treated for. I think he feels better.
Once every couple of weeks, I catch Sapphire sleeping near my feet. With my feet under the covers, I can rub her and she doesn’t move, but if I try to pet her, she leaves immediately. She sure is a puzzle.
Her mama, Zelda, is just like her. Zelda wants to be near us. She runs toward us when we approach, but she doesn’t want to be touched. Nick and Daisy, so far, can only be handled after they are lured out for food, but we’re going to keep working on that.
All the kitties are healthy and appear to be happy in their own way.
