Cats: Daisy Update
Daisy is nearly five months old, and she’s doing well. This is a common scene that warms my heart — the three of them relaxing, sleeping, or playing on the porch. Zelda is half out of the picture on the left. Nick and Daisy are snuggled together on the doormat, Nick is ever-watchful.
Daisy saw Dr. Valeri for her final set of kitten shots on Wednesday. We made her appointment for spaying on April 3. Daisy resisted being picked up, but once I had her in my arms, she was a model kitten. In the exam room, she made it through the pre-exam vitals taking and the preliminary exam by Moises, the vet tech. He does a wonderful job of alerting Dr. Valeri to anything that may need extra attention. Daisy waited for Dr. Valeri in my arms and took in all there was to see with great interest. She was good as gold for Dr. Valeri.
After we returned home, Daisy let me lift her from the carrier and cuddle her for a few minutes. She made no effort to struggle to get away. She let me place her on the ground, and she walked away to join Zelda (who was waiting) under the back porch steps.
She sounds like a sweetie!
She is. Her mama is quite an influence on her, though, and she’s getting tough to catch. Zelda and Daisy were playing on the back steps this morning, and it was a joy to watch.
