Cats: Zelda Update
I believe I’ve mentioned Zelda frequently, but I haven’t shared any pictures. The other night, she sprawled on the grass near the side porch long enough to capture a picture of her. She was watching Walter up on the side porch. She and Walter aren’t friends or very friendly with one another, but they do seem to find alternate times for going to the food and water towers.
I wish I could get close enough to Zelda to apply Revolution and to brush her, but she won’t let me get that close. She does come running toward us when she sees us sometimes, but she stops just outside our reach. I felt as if she was trying to tell me something, but I wasn’t sure what. Finally, I decided to put an extra water tower on the back porch. Maybe she was trying to tell me Walter was hogging the porch and she couldn’t get to water. I don’t know, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to have an extra water tower outside.
Despite having a long, luxurious coat, Zelda takes good care of herself. She has some extra underfur, but I can’t detect any mats in her fur. My plan is to investigate an oral flea medication I can grind up and mix into her canned food. I’ll probably get a wormer treat her that way as well. I think she’ll be more comfortable that way.
