Cats: Gray Socks Ghost and Scooter
This week has been a banner week for these two kitties. Gray Socks Ghost, with no food in sight, has begun walking under my hand when I hold it up and nudging it for petting. Scooter happily accepts petting with no food in sight as well. He gets a little more excited, so I have to watch to withdraw my hand before he makes a swipe with his paw, which doesn’t always have the claws sheathed.
I’m so pleased with the progress these two boys have made since I trapped them back in May. They spend most of their time near the house, and they are getting better with each other, too. And it isn’t just Socks and Scooter. Walter has not been objecting to being picked up and put on my lap. He has started settling in and enjoying his petting sessions.
I’m pleased with the socialization progress these ferals are making.
