Cats: Outside Update
The outside boys are doing great. Scooter, Socks, and Walter are all eagerly waiting outside the back door for their morning can. They’ve become quite obnoxious about butting their heads against the can and making it difficult to fill their bowls. I’m working on getting them to back off until their bowl is filled. Walter is probably the most gorgeous cat I’ve ever seen, but Scooter and Socks are both handsome kitties, too.
Walter is still is sweet, cuddly, handsome self. He gets chased around by Socks and Scooter a lot. He still would almost rather be petted than eat.
I gave Scooter his name because he always scooted when he saw us. Since I caught him and got him neutered, he’s been quite the sweetie. He still gets easily excited and nips or bats at us, but he is less lethal as he gets calmer. He loves ear rubs, and he’s amenable to petting as well.
Since Mr. L brought the trailer back to the house, Socks thinks it’s his personal deck. Socks is also a sweet kitty since he’s been neutered. He and Scooter are always around (I’m happy for this.) I can sometimes pick Socks up when he’s in the yard. I’ve been able to hold him on lap and pet him. He does get excited, but he only swats with a paw with sheathed claws.
Zelda still won’t let us handle her, but she sure is right there for food.
