22 Months
Here’s this month’s progress on the house:
Yes, we got a dusting of snow.
Looking for paint colors for the bathrooms. I found more than two full rolls of this wallpaper, so we may get some accent walls as well. Nordic Noir seems to be the color of choice. Will they have it available at the hardware store?
They got the two windows rebuilt.
Work began in earnest on the downstairs bathroom shower.
I decided to have the shed door painted red.
The shower pan has been poured.
The two rebuilt windows are looking good.
The windows in the garage now can be opened. There should be enough tile on the little yellow trailer to complete the downstairs bathroom — friends donated it to the cause. We may have some left over for the upstairs bathroom, too. I’m looking forward to finding out.
I no longer have a secret entrance to the downstairs bathroom via the back porch closet.
The window may still be an option for some.
The shower head and faucets are plumbed.
They are installing a nice bench and a shelf for shampoo and stuff (the shelf isn’t in yet).
They are taking advantage of good weather to get the ridge caps on the roof.
There’s still more work to do to finish the roof, but it’s coming along. There were three leaky places that they were trying to make sure were fixed.
We had freezing weather this week, and I failed to prepare properly. Fortunately, one minor water connection needed repair, then the house water was fine.
