Day 28: Picture Last Year & Now
I’ve shown you a picture of last year (2 years ago) and now.
Since I’m supposed to discuss how I have changed from then to now, I’ll show those two side by side here:
These two photos are taken almost exactly two years apart from each other. I weigh about thirty pounds less in 2012 than I did in 2010. I’d like to say it doesn’t matter, but it does. Physical size is a factor in how people view others and, based upon our culture, it affects how we feel about ourselves. I don’t think you can tell, but I have a few more gray hairs. I’m still committed to not coloring my hair.
What are some less visible changes? My husband and I spent the first fourteen years of our marriage mostly living apart while he worked in his career (college professor) and I served in the military. When I retired in 2008, we had a big adjustment to learn to live together, and there were some rocky segments as we have continued on that journey. We’re both accustomed to living alone more than we are to living with one another, but we both make an effort (because we remain committed to the marriage) live more harmoniously.
