I’ve been mulling this over long enough. I need to put something on “paper.” Here’s my 2006 goals for personal and writing.

Personal

• Successfully transition to a vegetarian (eventually getting to vegan) diet
• Challenge myself fitness-wise to improve overall fitness level (I have no problem working out regularly; I just don’t feel as if I’m deriving much benefit from it)
• Read more books than last year (watch the reading list to track progress)
• Keep duty performance high at work–keep the boss happy
• Even though we’re 800 miles apart, find ways to keep engaged with hubby
• Keep finding ways to get rid of excess “stuff” around the house

Writing

• Continue “on-the-fly” rewriting of Threads & Ties, then finish writing
• Rewrite Twilight incorporating planned changes and what I learn from Threads & Ties
• Rewrite Polar Bear on the Loose, incorporating what I’ve learned from the previous two efforts
• Brainstorm and plan my NaNoWriMo novel
• Draft query letters
• Scrub synopses
• Research agents in anticipation of querying after the first three goals are met
