No, Lady and Zelda aren’t together, but those are the two I’m updating you on today.
Lady has been demanding a lot of attention lately. She just spent several minutes on my lap purring loudly while getting her ears rubbed.
Zelda isn’t letting us near her any more than she has before, but we are amused by how she responds to a can of food. Frequently, lately, we’ll open the back door and she’s sitting on the back steps staring at the door. She’s using her super powers to inspire us to bring her a can of food. She has a long memory, and my insisting on petting her over a year ago while she was eating her Fancy Feast has resulted in her refusing to come near the food bowl while we are within reach of it. But when we step away, she is right there. These cats are going to teach me patience if it’s the last thing they do.
In a bonus note the cat I’m currently calling Black Swirl because I don’t have a name for him yet has been hanging around. I’m reasonably certain he’s a littermate of Nick’s which means he’s another of Zelda’s offspring. He’s a gorgeous cat and looks healthy on the game camera, but he is skittish beyond belief.
