The property update March 2016 is ready to go. We get a little done here and there. Sadly, there’s more than enough work on the to do list.
San Antonio House: We’re working there as you read this. Last month, the big success was getting the alley hedge trimmed. Mr. L was able to help only very briefly, but his assistance was appreciated. The critical task this week is to rake and bag the live oak leaves that fell. I may get a few trimmings in, but this will likely be the last opportunity to spruce everything up before my knee replacement, assuming I’m able to go forward as planned. Mr. L may be having some things going on that will pre0empt the knee.
The Ranch: The first deer census for the year is on. One deer won’t be showing up on the camera — it caught a hoof on the fence and did not survive. Instead, I’ll share a more pleasant image of a naturally occurring shelter.
The Store: I will need to mow before I go in for my knee, but for now, nothing remarkable going on. With the recent rains, everything is green.
The Shop: Mr. L did some puttering and reorganizing of several things over the last month.
The Detail Shop: With a state project to add accessible corners (someday, we may get the sidewalks that go with them), the Detail Shop was on a state road that was part of this project, and in addition to the corner accesses, they gave us a short length of sidewalk, too. Some businesses got this and most didn’t. I don’t know what their criteria were, but it’s nice to have.
The Central Texas House: I got the yard mowed and trimmed before the rains came. With last week’s rain, everything is green and lush. I got some inside work done as well. Mr. Fig is leafing out.
Stay tuned for next month’s report when you’ll find out if I got a new knee or not.
